AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm excited & nervous all at the same time. I ordered it from Lillette's in Baldwin. They were so nice there. Geri helped me & she is very honest & sweet(as was everyone else in there.) I told them that I want to lose some weight & because my wedding is about a year away they said that they would re-measure me when they order my dress in a few months so that there won't be a problem. Thank you to all that gave me the thumbs up on Lillette's. I still can't beleive it!!

like the rest of them... congratulations!!! im new to this site and was browsing around the message board. i just recently got engaged and am planning to get married next memorial day weekend!! so, needless to say im starting the hunt for the dress. you mentioned you want to lose weight, i do too. im on the let's just say on the 'womanly' side. Is losing 50-60 pounds a realistic goal to set for next year? how should i go about shopping for dresses assuming i might look different at the end of the year?

I haven't decided yet. I do love 3 of Karina's I just e-mailed them to see if I can get a sampls. I'll tell you if they do. I did see ones in the 'Invitations by Dawn' catalog but it's not on ther web-site. You can order their catalog from their web-site www.invitationsbydawn.com

Well, It is possible if you really buckle down to lose 50lbs. You can inform the people at the shop that you are looking to lose weight. If the seamstress is good enough it shouldn't be a problem. You could do one of 2 things. Start looking now & see if they will hold off placing the order until they have to sothey can remeasure you. Or wait a few months to see how your diet goes. Good Luck!

Congrats, you must be so happy, I still need to do some shopping, but I enjoy it. It seems I like too many which shocked me.
What kinda of style dress did you get, what designer?
I am also still looking for celtic knot invites, I got a sample from LI invitations, but I just dont know yet, still looking, have time.

My dress is a Diva dress made by Paloma Blanco. It's strapless which suprised me that I even went with that but I love it. It has some blue beading so it makes it 'unique'. You can see it: http://www.rkbridal.com/public_html/bridal/palomaspring2002b3231.html

Congrats. We worked with Geri when we ordered the gowns for my sisters wedding. She was very nice and accomodating.

Congrats! I just ordered my dress last Mon. from Macy's Bridal Salon. My mom took me for lunch afterwards to celebrate. Isn't it exciting?
