I posted this in BHB and NW, but in case anyone doesn't look at those anymore....

Any ideas for cute baskets for a shower? Two women I work with are getting married, and I need gift ideas. I already did the candle basket for another woman in the office this year. I'm thinking of doing a cooking 'basket' for one with a stock pot as the basket, filled with food you can cook in it (soups, pastas, etc) and include a pasta spoon, ladle, etc.

Any other ideas? One's not really taking a honeymoon, and the other hasn't booked it yet, so the honeymoon basket would be a bit of a challenge.

Thanks!

I really like the stockpot idea. Someone asked for this on the BHB board, so I posted it. It's a letter to the bride; you can fill a laundry basket or garbage can with all of these cleaning supplies (the words in parentheses)

We gather together with you to celebrate the (dawn) of a new (era). Marriage is a journey. Some days it will be pure (joy) but let's take a moment and talk about the others.

There may come a time when you realize your big (brawny) guy isn't necessarily (Mr. Clean). When this and other little glitches occur, don't (shout) or send up an (SOS). Go (easy-on) him. Hopefully the (Tide) will change quickly, tensions will (vanish), and things will (bounce) back to normal.

We think you and GROOM are a (fantastic) couple with a (zest) for life and a sincere appreciation for each other. We fully support you as you and GROOM'S (pledge) to spend your lives as one.

We wish you all the best... Including love, happiness and lots of time to (snuggle).

OMG! I can't believe I forgot about that one! My MIL did that for me at my shower. I'm so stupid sometimes.
