if someone on here was talking bad about your reception hall ( which you love) and was saying things that could possibly destroy future business for them , would you call them and tell them whats been being said on here??
just so they could be aware about the possible bad mouthing or rumors being spread??

uhhhhh.no. 1) i don't care enough to spend my time worrying about that
2) everyones entitled to their opinions and if they feel they had a bad experience it doesn't necessarily mean they are a bad vendor. I'd have to read quite a few bad reviews before writing off a vendor.

honestly i prob wouldnt call them...but thats just me lol i just dont usually voice my opinion unless it directly affected me (and even so i usually dont lol)
tho i prob would fm the person in question and try to find out whats going on and ask why they are talking shlt

agreed, i wouldnt. it is the individuals business to say what they want to say and/or feel and it is the responsibility of the business to perform to the best of their ability to make sure the aforementioned doesnt happen..
oh and at this point in my life, i dont have time to make calls about other peoples biotchyness JMHO

you cant stop people from stating their opinion. i think if my hall was new, i may alert them, but what can they actually do if people are simply stating opinions.
thankfully my hall and their owners have been in the business a loooooonnngggg time so they probably heard it all.

I wouldn't call them, because i believe in the freedom of speech, and everyone has a right to their opinion. I actually just went through this. I posted something on here asking girls opinions about my centerpiece and just last week my vendor called me and complained to me about it , looking bad for his business and wanted the post removed. I just said its just opinoins, and it was not removed. I was actaully so upset that i was stalked and tattled on, i cried. My Fh had to call up and talk to them because i was embarrassed,sad, and confused and felt that why cant i voice my opinion and why cant others?? I def wouldnt tell on them.It just seems wrong. This site is for advice, and opinions and if we could no longer feel speaking our minds, because of someone that is going to 'tell' on me, I would not want to post on here anymore. JMO.

No...it is not my place to call my RH and tell them someone is talking negatively about them,...this is the kind of thing that could shut down this site.

Nope I wouldnt (and havent) we've all seen how leonards has been trashed on these boards sometimes for being 'gaudy' and 'over the top' and although it's really annoying, people can say whatever they want for the most part...there's nothing the RH would be able to do about it anyway so what's the point..

Absolutely Not. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The beauty of this site and other wedding sites, is that you get HONEST opinions. If everything were positive all the time, I don't think people would even bother reading bride's reviews and other posts.

I agree because if you honestly think that an RH or a vendor treats every client the same and NEVER has a problem or does things intentionally you are niave (i dont mean YOU i mean anyone). just because you had a great expereince doesnt mean someone else did

i wouldnt jump on the phone and call them....but depending on what it was i might express i have 'concerns' next time i go in.....i love our RH and everyone who works there. If i felt it would hurt them then yeah i would def let them know about it.......FYI lots of those vendors read these every so often so they might even have seen it.

that's an awful, lowlife thing to do. dumb biotch. Sorry that happened to you; I feel the same way and sometimes I'm worried about posting things too for that reason.

No. I've seen a lot of crap said about my hall but this is a public forum, if a bride went running to a vendor every time she saw a negative comment no one would ever post on LIW in fear of the tattle tales. Not only that but girls would refrain from posting negative comments because they don't want other brides running to the vendors to let them know what is being said. This has actually been done before and I don't think it is right. I want an honest opinion, not someone who is scared to post because they don't want the vendor finding out their qualms.

me personally...no...it would not effect me enough to...maybe that person has a just reason to have those feelings and they are entitled and thankfully your experience was great
