YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am literally smiling ear to ear!!! i can't believe i just picked out my wedding dress.
As I posted previously, I went to Lillette's last weekend and foudn two Casablanca dresses I absolutely adored. I couldn't commit without going somewhere else, so today I visited Village Bridal in Babylon with my mom and two MOHs.
I had an amazing experience at village bridal. My consultant was Krissy and she was beyond encouraging, patient, and totally fun. I highly recommend her. The selection at Village Bridal far surpassed Lillette's. I was originally supposed to go back to Lillette's today after my Village Bridal appointment to try on the original two dresses again. However, Village ended up having BOTH of them so I canceled the appointment.
Lo and behold, after another 10-12 dresses, it was down to one of the original Casablancas and another dress that I had pulled off the mannequin at Village.
I ended up saying YES to the original Casablanca - I had obsessed over the dress all week, could NOT stop thinking about it, and while there were so many other beautiful, flattering dresses that I tried on, that one made me feel SO amazing. My MOH of course made a big scene - 'so, are you saying YES to the dress??' and I yelled YES!! and we danced and of course I cried!
To top it all off, Village Bridal not only met the price of the gown that Lillette's had it for, but SURPASSED it, and also gave me $200 towards the purchase of a veil!!!

Congrats! I got my dress at Village Bridal too, and it is the one on the mannequin lol. Wonder if that's the one you tried.

they took off about $300 from their price!

OMG!!! Congratulations!!!! It's such an exciting feeling! So funny, you and I are on the exact same time line. My wedding is just two weeks before yours, and I ordered my dress two weeks ago!!! I'd LOVE to see some pics!
