oh good for you!

I can't give blood, I had a bad case of mono, kidney problems, tattoos and a number of other things. I remember my senior year of high school I was one of the only ones not allowed to give blood at the blood drive because I had gotten a tattoo like 2 weeks before (not sure what the issue is).

but because of the kidney and mono I can't.

u can't give blood if u had mono? how long after that could u do it if you are allowed? I want to do it again so bad if schedules and donations sites were more available. It seems when i can do i have a cold and when they come close to work or home I am never around. It has just passed the year mark from traveling out of the country so i was going to try again soon...

I didn't know you can't give blood if you one had mono. I had it 5 years ago.. it wasn't a bad case of it luckily. I wonder if I could give blood.

I had mono 2 years ago not bad at all lasted a couple of days then I was back to normal. they didnt even mention anything about it. I also traveled out of the country in sept but as long as you dont go to certain places it doesnt have any affect on being able to donate.
