I think i'm being mean

So me and my FH are friends with this couple and the guy is in the wedding party but i don't have any room in my wedding party for her. He was asked already but i have yet to talk to her about not being in my wedding. I feel bad but what i'm i to do? HELP!!!

How close are you guys?

If you're not that close, I wouldn't even address it. And, if you feel the need to address it, I'd just call her/take her aside and say that you wish you could have her, but you have a lot of family that you need to ask and your budget will only allow for a BP of a certain size.

I think that she thinks that we are close but i don't think that we are. Her boyfriend is close friends with my FH and thats why i feel bad.

I feel your pain! But I caved and will be having an extra girl on my side (9&8)

You can always have her do a reading at your ceremony.

I would just say honestly what I said before - that way you don't have to say 'hey look - we're not THAT close.'

i just wouldn't say anything. why would someone assume they're in the bridal party before they were asked? ok i know it happens...but people really shouldn't assume things especially things like that.

so i would act like the bride who assumes that people should KNOW not to do that.

i agree...you shouldnt feel obligated just bc her man is in the bridal party.....
