fh & i are deciding between costa rica or hawaii

What about someplace in the Caribbean??

Yeah, we like those locations too. We want something exotic, with wildlife and would love to get some sun!!!! Here are some of the options I have been contemplating:

1) There is a cruise for 15 days that goes to Panama canal, antigua, costa rica, mexico, and columbia which is almost $3,000 a person for a balcony it leaves from Cali and ends in florida. This leaves May 4

2) Costa Rica really wanna hang in the hot springs and see a volcano!!! oh, I am also dying to see a sloth!!! I looked up the weather in May and it said that it's rainy then. I also fell in love with the hotels I saw, with the tubs outside and the rooms completely open!!!

3)hawaii is so long on the plane, but wanna see
volcanos, see beautiful beaches and relax!!!

4) 13 day transatlantic cruise which leaves from fl and is at sea for 7 days and goes to canary islands, corsica, spain and ends in rome. This is $949 balcony. Don't know if I'm into the Europe thing!!!

sounds like youre in the same boat as me...

except i nixed the cruises...fh & i alwayssss do cruises...i wanted to do something different and exotic

im torn btwn hawaii and costa rica...

hawaii, i feel may not be as relaxing...there is soooo much to see and i want to see it all! if we go i want to do at least 3 islands, so it will be alot of moving around...not sure Id be ok with going to hawaii and staying in one place


Costa Rica, I have alwayssssssssss wanted to go there and it looks amazing...I feel the same way you do about the rain,...but supposedly its mostly rainy in the morning and clears by day
i feel like costa rica will be alot more relaxing...with the beautiful springs, spas beaches etc

check out the paradisus playa conchal in costa rica- it looks amazing!


sorry im typing so much....anyway, all your options sound great and I think youll have a beautiful HM no matter what you choose!

My sister went to Costa Rico and said it was the best vacation of her life.

She went to Tamarindo [flew into Libera]

She did sooooooo much there and said everyone should visit there.

im in the same both as you. we have a small budget and FH and I cant agree on anything. he wants to go to hawaii and i wanna go out of the country .ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ooh, i've been to both, so i think you should def do hawaii!!!

cR has a lot of bugs! lol.....

we stayed here...AMAZING does not even describe it. not in a touristy area so you get the real costa rican experience. they do a ton of day trips to places close by...we did nicaragua adn also did ziplining, white water tubing and horseback riding.! they also have trip to arenel.
the place gives you your own house! thats right girls a whole house! with a private pool/hot tub/hammock and a private chef!! and maid. the chef prepares all your meals to your liking each day. ooo and you get a ton of booze/beer!!

you also get a golf cart that you can go to the beach in and they will have a cabana boy at the beach to set you all up. beach is pretty secluded and plenty of kayaks etc.

we also went in July which is considered one of the raniest months. we had rain some afternoons for a few minutes adn only one day we were there it rained for a good majority of the day which was nice b/c we had the whole house to hang out in! and go in the pool when it rained!! plus during the rainy season there are many less bugs!!!

so worth every cent! at least check out the site!

You really have to be careful with the rainy season. I am from panama which is right next to costa rica and the rains are no joke and so unpredictable. It could rain for 5 minutes then the weather is amazing or it can rain all day.

I would say do the cruise that way you get to see multiple places on the same trip and even if the weather isnt the best the ship always have activities to keep you occupied
