So I just found out that 2 of my FH's friends recently got engaged- one is getting married in Nov 07 and I'm getting all pissy that it is right before mine. I never thought I would be like this. Is this normal? I haven't heard when the other friend is getting married, but I'm sure it will before our's as well.
I know that we had to pick the end of 07 because of our professions (I will hopefully have a teaching job and FH's coaches football), but I'm still upset. Ugghhh. Never thought I'd be this way.

don't feel bad, I felt the same way a couple of months ago. I got engaged Nov 19 and my friend (who really shouldn't have gotten engaged) got engaged 4 DAYS after I did and I was really annoyed about that. Then to top it off she had to stick her wedding right in February only a couple of months before mine, at the place I wanted originally. I could've strangled her! I've come to terms with it though - a little bit

I feel the exact same way. 2 of my FH's friends are getting married on 07'. We are getting married within a 6 month span.

oh no way honey, read my thread!!! My FH's best man just told us on Sunday he got engaged which is wonderful, HOWEVER, his wedding is THREE WEEKS before ours!!! UGH!!!!

I got engaged first and now have 4 weddings the two months before mine - one of which is a destination wedding in June and I'm in the BP! I'm happy for my friends but wondering how I'm going to get all those days off before the wedding AND get all of my wedding stuff done. I'm not upset about it, just stressed...

It happens to all of us....FH and I have nine weddings before us and half of those couples got engaged after us. The most recent one is getting married three weeks before us......I guess that's what happens when your getting married at the end of the year. I know how you feel!

Yep! I am in the same situation. 10 weddings before mine half of which got engaged after us. Two of which are three weeks before mine one of those being my first cousin!! (I just posted about this annoying inconsiderate () cousin yesterday). I don't think you are being a brat at all!! It is normal to feel this way, but it does happen. But just remember, your wedding will be special no matter what!! And it will be an amazing time!! Anytime you need to talk about it, feel free to FM me!

Also, FH and I always say 'Save the best for last'....our wedding is the last of all the friends and it will be the best, just like yours!!!!

definitely completely normal to feel that way.
i have not had it happen to me as of yet, thank god, but if it does i know i'll be annoyed.. and i don't think there's anything 'wrong' with that.
it's how you feel and you can't deny how you feel and if you don't ackknowledge it or talk to someone about it then you'll just get more and more upset-- so i think you are doing the right thing by talking about it as well... i hope it helps!

Yeah, this is happeing to me too! First we got engaged then my BROTHER!! Talk about stealing my thunder!! Then I have 3 cousins who got engaged and THEN one of the guys in the BP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was really upset when I found out my brother because I wanted to focus to be just on me!
I guess I can join the brat club too huh?

I think its normal. Just make sure you are done planning so u can enjoy their wedding and not be frantic. Everything will work out don't worry!

Yep! FHs brother just got engaged also and he plans on getting married in May 07. I'm like, HELLO? can't you wait?? Seriously!!
