So here is the problem, my RH recomended The Hampton inn in Islandia, the price is awesome, they are offering a free shuttle back and forth to the reception, free hot breakfast and a free room for us if we have ten rooms booked which we will. The issue is the Sales Manager is a complete MORON!!!! she does not return phone calls, she was supposed to mail me the contract 2 weekd ago and when I finally got it she spelled my name wrong. I don't want to deal with her, I don't want to deal with her, at this point I don't have any confidence that she won't f**k things up. I tried calling other hotels in the area but, no one comes even close to offering the amenities that they are. What should I do? FH thinks that we should talk to the GM of the hotel since she is the only sales director. My only concern is that if we complain about her she may get pissed and mess something up out of spite. Should I still book with them or keep looking for another hotel even if we have to pay for the shuttle ourselves. Thanks for you're advice as always

If you don't mind me asking how much were they charging per room? You can fm me if you want.
We went with another hotel, Islandia Marriott and they didn't offer any of the extras at all.

This sounds really frustrating! Before going over her head, I might voice my concerns (calmly and sweetly) to her directly first. Something like, 'I am sure you are used to dealing with brides who are nervous about wedding plans, and I am no exception! I know you are probably so busy but do you think it would be possible for you to get back to me sooner? It would really help calm my nerves!'
If, after kindly voicing your concerns, you are still not getting the service you would like, then I would go above her, AND, if it comes to that, express any concerns about retaliation to whomever you deal with then. Just an idea?!

Re: I think my biotchness is going out soon..
wow that is good. Mine is $129 with no extras and my room is $264 if I don't book all 10 rooms and since I'm staying 2 nights it will only be free one night if I book all 10, it not its $264 x 2!
Maybe I'll switch. We were originally doing a day wedding so we went with this one for the bar and pool to use after but we switched to night a week ago so no need for that really. ugh!
Thanks for the info. I think you should stay with them and talk to a GM and tell them look I just want to make sure these mistakes dont happen the day of my wedding. If he is aware she'll probably be on her best behavior.

Maybe you could ask if any other brides are using that hotel and who they are working with and if they like the person and call and ask for that person and say its bc someone reccommended you talk to them. Or try to find out the name of another sale manager and try asking for them. I would do it discreetly though in case this hotel has an liw stalker (since many vendors do) you don't want to get caught in a sticky situation especially since they have the best price. and I'd still go with them based on pricing

I would still go with them because of the price. Call them and voice your concerns and see if there is someone else you can deal with.

it almost sounds too good to pass up, if you really want it would do everything in person tho and make sure your contract is 100% correct then and there and anything that comes up afterwards have in writing (all about covering you a$s and having proof)
