I am beside myself right now - the place where I bought my wedding dress is closing and no one even bothered to call and tell me! I was just calling and leaving messages and no one was calling me back - finally, I looked on the website and they are closing in September! No one seems to be able to tell me where my dress is! It was supposed to ship out on July 15th and I still don't know where it is and I keep calling an getting no answers. I don't know what to do!

tell anne barge that this guy is a con artist and you need that dress shipped to YOU. if his store is closing, why would they send it to him anyway. honestly, i'm so paranoid i would rent a car and drive to new hamshire and get the thing myself.

I'm just hoping it will be OK - I'll know more next week - that is when the dress is supposed to be shipped to him and he is bringing it to me. I trust Anne Barge completely and I know that if this jerk screws up they will hunt him down for me!! They were so nice and helpful yesterday during the whole crisis.

Stupid question.. but those Anne Barge people said they had to send it to the owner.. don't you own it? If not, can you pay it off... and fax Anne Barge a copy to show YOU are the Owner? Just a thought

Yes, sadly their agreement is with him. I went through the same thing with my dress manuf. they told me they couldn't even tell me whether or not the store ordered me dress (they didn't).
It is like me doing you a favor ordering someting for you and putting it on my credit card company. You cannot call my credit card company and access my purchase information. It is HORRIBLE that we the brides are treated like this and have to deal with sometimes bad business people to get the dress from the manuf. that we want.

if my FH were an atty, I'd still have him go there & spout some legalese at the guy just to scare him into doing the right things by you - just in case he's b.sing. Good luck & keep us posted!

Definately go there in person! Make sure you keep all your receipts in order & maybe you can call the manufacturer directly & see if they can tell you if the dess was shipped or not.
