I think it just hit my mom that she is losing her baby girl in a month. I still live with my parents and will be bascially until the wedding. My mom and I have always been really close. I want to do something really special for her to show how much i will always love her. I was thinking of making a scrapbook for her of just us throughout the years. I think she would really enjoy that. Any other ideas?
i think what u have is perfect..if u want maybe make a photo slideshow with some pics of the 2 of u to show her when u give her the scrapbook

I like the slideshow idea. My mom is going through the same thing. Every once in a while she will come over and hug me for no reason.

I think the scrapbook is a great idea!!!! Your mom will be fine. WHen I first moved out...I was moving to DC and let at like 3 in the morning.......I still can picture it clearly....my mom on the front lawn in her PJ's crying.....
Just because you are moving out she is not losing you. THe times I do spend with my mom now are so special....even if its just shopping or having coffee

I just made a great photo book on walgreens.com. They actually insert the pics for you and let you pick colors and everything. The total cost was like $20. I used baby pictures and then pics of my sweet 16, graduation and engagement. I love it! FM me if you have questions. You can also used HIGH5 code during check out for $5 off!

Thanks Girls! I probably will end up doing the scrapbook, I am a scrapbooker already and have most of the stuff plus i can put my own personal touches on it too.
Thanks for sharing your stories and telling me about your own mother-daughter stories. It's really hard, my mom has really been my best friend. I got sick when i was 13 with ulcerative colytis, it was one of the worst cases doctors had seen and my mom was there for me every step of the way, sleeping by hospital bed even if she only got 2 hours of sleep, holding my hand at night until i fell asleep...., (i'm actually tearing up right now )

if you want to get her something to go with it...you can get her a personalized embroidered handkerchief ( she will likely need something to dry her tears of joy!)
You can have them embroidered for free I saw one that said
' to dry your tears as you have dried mine'
or ' I am truly blessed to have you as a mother love ___'
I am getting one for my mom as a wedding gift!
I can find the website if you need, I think it was like 30 bucks.

Maybe dedicate a day to the 2 of you, spa, lunch, just time to be together and not do wedding stuff.

well i moved out a while ago, but i know how that is! i love the scrapbook idea. i made my mom a 'calling card' that was totally DIY and it was just to sorta remind her that we'll still call each other all the time. i also have a journal that we share, we pass it back and forth when we meet for lunch and stuff like that. we write to each other about whatever... i totally love it. other than that, just give/get lots of hugs.
