I think this may have been asked before

But when are you girls planning on purchasing your invitations? I know I still have time to do this but I have all the information I would need and I know the amount I would need. I just don't want to order them too early.

i started looking around the 1 year mark... i didnt find anything until October and it took over 2 months to get the wording and approve the final invite...

I'm waiting on my paperwork from HER to kinda see the costs and the types of paper she is using to design them.. I will probably order them, officially, by the end of the summer or early next school year.

*My life is based on a school calendar thanks to FH lol*

well the thing is I am not ordering them from anyone who has to physically make them... I'm ordering from InvitationsbyDawn.com so I don't think it will take as long to get them.

So what should i do in this situation? Wait to order or order whenever? Of course i am going to wait until I get a good promo code or discount.

i ordered place cards from them... it took 4 days to process the order and 6 days to be delivered... the they were just blank cards...

I would call them and ask them how long your order will take and how long for shipping...

For us we already have the design stage and wording stage done. We aren't ordering them until October and planning on mailing them out mid-Nov.

If you are 100% sure that nothing is going to change. 110% even, screw it, order 'em! But I'd call the church and the RH just to verify your times.

I started looking at the year mark also. Mine are custom made so the process takes a little longer. I would say start looking now and order really when you want. If none of the info is going to change then why wait

that's what's scaring me and making me hestiant to not order now. I really don't think anything is going to change but what if I find out in like December that they have to move the church time or something. Also, there is always a possibility that we may add an extra 1/2 hour to cocktail hour or to the end of the reception, but we may not. I think I am just going to wait.

The only thing that made me bring it up was that I found a 20% coupon good til 6/30/10 and that would knock off a nice chunk from the price. But they will most likely have that again.

I went to one of those Perfect wedding planners tea parties and they said to order your invites about 6 months before the wedding in order to get them to you in time and be able to send them out about 2 months b4 the wedding. So i'll probably order them then

we are getting ours from a vendor on etsy - we have already designed it but prob wont order till 5 months b4 - incase something changes... i guess you never know

im sure there will be more coupons... maybe even a better one! Id wait

Prob at my one year mark but I have been looking at different styles and companies. Some of them will send you free samples so I might start ordering them if I see any I like
