I thought my brother was going to announce that he and his GF were engaged last night...

BUT it didn't happen. They are younger than me and have been together for a long time..a lot longer than me and my FI. And last night we went out to dinner with my whole family to celebrate my bro's b-day which we never do because he is always lo key about his b-day and I really had such a strong feeling that they were going to announce this...but they didn't

My brother just proposed to his GF they have been dating 3 years so I guess it was time. He tied to tell me they were getting married in March haha I am in April he was only kidding but freaked me out for a second.

That could be true. Maybe he doesn't want to steal your thunder. That is very classy. You have seen how many family members get engaged immediately after others and force their weddings to take place BEFORE that first couple. That always rubs me the wrong way.

The bride was FURIOUS - and the girl was her OWN SISTER/MOH!!!

my sister did this to me. they got engaged in aug 04 and got married aug 05....i'm not mad about it. maybe b/c its a full year before my wedding, if it was only a few months...that be a different story
