2007 prices for whatever year you want....I have been pricing around for 09 and 2010. Should I not be asking for 2010 as well, we are on a tight budget so we may have to do it then. Why can't they give me the prices for 09???? What I am I doing wrong?

I think the thing is 2007 prices will be very low because they want to fill up for the year...if they aren't giving you prices for 2007 it's probably because they don't have many dates available or figure you wouldn't want something so soon.

Not quite understanding you... Who refused to give you prices? And if you book by the end of this yr, you lock in this yrs prices regardless of what yr you are having your wedding... Thats what I had always thought at least

No no no, later years will be more expensive that 2007. They prices usually go up 5 maybe 10 dollars a year. So right now, you give them your date, and the RH will tell you the price per person based on 2009 or 2010 wedding - the price for a wedding being held in 2007 will be lower.

I agree. even if they don't have set prices for 2009 yet, they will estimate a pretty high price since it is so far in advance and they have so much time to fill up their calander. You would probably save more $ if you book closer to the event. The only thing with that is you risk places not being available. But that's how we got good deals on everything. We booked everything a few months ago, the places that had our date open charged us less since they knew it was getting late to fill it so they took a lower price rather then risking not booking. We did this with the hall, limo & video. Not even on purpose, we just started planning late.

yeah what ive noticed just from reading the threads here, most vendors are realizing that at this time, many brides are planning far in advance so it serves them well to come up with 09 prices sooner than they would have if there werent so many 09 brides (you saw how many newbies there were in the last 3 weeks)...
so theyve caught on. :(

I was quotes yestarday for 09 and said we have to do 2010 and they upped the price big time were some places didn't......If we do 09 we have to take out a loan. 2010 we don't have to. What to do!!!

whats the interest rate on the loan? if the price difference is that big, it might be worth the loan depending on the interest rate.

Yeah - we got our hall a year ago...and we got a decent price - people are def. starting to realize that people want to plan sooner!!
And I second that, definitely check out the interest rates - it really may be worth it! Good Luck!

I would really thing twice about getting taking out a loan (JMO) you dont want to be committed to anything specially with interest rates and such. Have you considered more affordable venues and cutting down your guestlist.
Keep looking and you will find the right place. Only you and FH know what you can both afford and want to do. Good luck.
