I want to choke my Matron of Honor!!! long...

I'm getting married 17 days from now and she's yet to go for her first fitting!!! RK told me that they willnot be able to do her alterations since it's so close to the wedding date. What makes me so angry is that I was just the Maid of Honor in her wedding last month & I bent over backwards trying to make her wedding special. Oh and get this...she has the nerve to complain to me about her BM's because they waited until the last second to go get their dresses taken care of! Umm...HELLO!!!
Plus she was mean & nasty to me becuase she claims she was stressed out, she procrastinated & waited until the very last second to do things for her own wedding (she paid the caterer the morning of the wedding to give you an idea), so she took her frustrations out on me. THen she apologized but it hasn't been the first time she's been nasty to me. I told her what RK said and I said 'If you're still palnning on being in my wedding, you'll have to pick up the dress & take it elsewhere to get it altered' & she said 'If you don't want me in your wedding just say so' WHAT Where did that one come from? At this point I really could care less if she's part of it or not, I refuse to let her ruin my wedding day. Phew....thanks girls for letting me vent!!!

It seems to me that you are both getting on one another's nerve with sooo much stress planning your wedddings at once. Does she have the money to pick her dress up? I would sit down with her (not on the phone or in e-mail) and tell her that you are hurt that she made those comments to you. I am sure this is just a lot of stress and you both need a break.

I would tell her that the store said they can't get the dress altered in time so she is going to have to go somewhere else. My place specializes in rush orders so I'm sure they could do it for her.Its Cathy's in Lindenhurst. I think you should just pass along the info and then steer clear of her as much as you can. You don't need any extra stress now. Good luck.

She has the money, she's just being selfish. THe dresses came into RK the first week in June, she just doesn't want to take time out of her 'busy schedule' to come down here (she lives a hour and a half from NYC). Thanks for the info though, she won't be able to travel to LI to get her dress altered. I already told her what RK said & she was nasty in her response so whatever!!!! I refuse to let her get the best of me. I plan on having a great wedding, with or without her, she's really insignificant at this point in time. I also have a Maid of Honor so I'll be more than happy just to have her there.

She was probably overwhelmed with her wedding. Let it be her problem. Relax she will have it done and let her have the stress.
