I want to cry!

I want to cry!

DH had a mole removed on his back and it just came back positive. The dermatologist assured us that it is not serious. DH is going back next month to get all of it out and for another full body scan. Between that, his shoulder not healing, us being broke from DH out on disability, my car accident, and the fact that I still do not have a placement for student teaching that starts in 2 weeks, I want to cry!!!!

I know things could be a lot worse, and overall, DH and I are very blessed. Thanks for letting me vent

I am so, so sorry! It seems that when things get cloudy it takes a while for the clouds to lift. May the sun come out soon!

I'm so sorry Daniella - when it rains it pours!

But more than that - He is waiting a month to get it removed! he should definately get another opinion - or demand it be done sooner. That is nothing to fool around with.

What type of skin cancer is it? I have had basal cell cancerous growths removed before. They really aren't anything serious. They don't metastasize into dangerous cancers. They remain pretty local and on the surface.

I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. I know it must seem even worse right now, you are starting a new life, and probably imagined everything would be wonderful, at least for a little while (I know I did). But I hope DH and you are comfort for each other now.

I'll say a prayer that all works out well for both of you, particularly DHs health.

Re: I want to cry!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support. You all are the best

What DH had is 'pre-melanoma' whatever that means. My sister has had basel cells so I know a little bit about skin issues. We like and trust our dermatologist and thankfully, it is not too serious so we know now that we have to keep an eye on DH's moles and he must got for annual check ups.

As for student teaching, my school is responsible for placement, and they guarantee us one. Every time I call, I get the run around and my paperwork is now pending approval at a school district in Suffolk. I submitted all my paper work in April and am so frustrated that this is not done yet. I am getting certified in Social Studies ed, 7-12. If anyone has anyone has words of wisdom, I would appreciate them.

Thank you so much for listening and for the support

What school are you going to? When I was being placed, I wound up doing it myself because they were slow and totally unorganized. Colleges often have trouble finding teachers willing to have a student teacher. I would go and meet with someone at your college and make sure they have some idea about where you are being placed.
I am sorry to hear about your dh, I'm sure everything will work out.
You have a big semester ahead of you, so take a deep breath and have a stiff drink!
