of identity theft! Some fool got a hold of my credit card # for a card I never use and charged stuff at the Apple store (I don't have an ipod), myheritage.com, and coach.com! I don't know how much they charged but the credit card company thought the charges were suspicious. I have no idea how someone got my info. I don't use the card, I don't charge stuff on it online, I don't carry the card in my wallet so I have no idea how this happened!!!!!

that's aweful! Thank goodness the credit card company recognized that something was up and contacted you so that you wouldn't be held liable for those charges. I hope they catch the jerk!

so sorry this happened to you ...it happened to me once also with my debit card from my bank...thankfully they picked up on it right away but it is scary how things like this can be done....i hope all turns out well..

I'm so sorry to hear that! Did you accidently throw away your credit card statement?
We had a instance here where our cops went dumpster diving and found like 4 peoples bank statements!

Thanks for the hugs and concerns everyone! I'm still really freaked out over this but I am very thankful that they caught on to it before I got a bill for all that stuff.

that really stinks! I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's happened to both FH & myself & let me tell you dealing with the aftermath is such a headache. You have to make sure you call & cancel the card.. place an alert on each of your credit cards (so your card use will be monitored more thoughrougly -just on case) you should also get a copy of your credit report. good luck!

Thanks for the advice! They cancelled the card for me. I need to call my other cards to place alerts just in case.
