these guys had dvd's for sale on the street, i bought bruce almighty, how to lose a guy in ten days, bringing down the house, old school, and i got finding nemo on tape. i got home last night and all the dvd's are BLANK. the only one the works is finding nemo. i was sooooo ****ed, i wasted $40.00 and only one works.

Sorry this happened to you Chrissy! Considering you were buying from someone who was a thief to begin with its not really shocking. I've heard of people getting tapes like this while movies were still in the theater -- some were taken by someone in the audience holding up a video camera, so that you could literally see the back of peoples heads in the rows in front and the camera moving, etc. Yuck.

i thought it would be ok, because i bought a couple of cd's one time from people off the street and they worked fine. i learned my lesson, i will never buy anything from someone off the street again.

These are DVDs that haven't even been released yet which makes it nearly impossible they'd be legit. CDs it seems much more likely they could be selling a real box that 'fell off the truck' or was overstock sold at a great discount. How aggravating for you.

Valenia- my aunts boyfriend gets dvds like this all the time (froma friend i think)... but he loves it!!! He's such a doof! we sat down to watch 'spiderman' (not knowing what kind of bootleg it was) and it was sooooo horrible!!! He was so proud of his 'matrix reloaded' dvd saying 'theres hardly any talking in the audience and he was right in the middle seats!' UGH!!! (he's such a dork!!)

they just did somehtig on the news about this yesterday. You can get arrested too for buying these dvd's. I didn't know that... i thought it was just the seller

You might be able to go back and see if that guy is still there. A friend of mine got a bad copy once and the guy gave him his money back!

This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode when Jerry had to make a copy of some movie as a favor for Kramer’s friend who actually turned out to be a bootlegger!


Sorry you lost your money and got dissapointed though! Those guys are NOT to be trusted! I also hate them because they create traffice on every sidewalk in the city!

i know... i was laughing so hard when i saw the spiderman one. I didn't know people actually still did it. I thought maybe he got it off kazaa or something... not film it inthe theater! It was so bad it was funny!!!
