I went to the Glen Cove Mansion first and I am sorry but I was not thrilled. The outside was pretty but the inside was decent and the ballroom is kinda small. A party was going on there and it was just crazy, I could not concentrate. Then I went to the Woodlands. At first I had mixed thoughts about it but I think I like it, my FH loved it and wants to book ASAP. I cant really visualize because its winter and everything is dead outside, I wish it was summer so I can get a feel what it looks like with the flowers etc. The grounds were really pretty for pics. The directing manager quoted us like 125pp for JUNE and he included all these things in the price if we have it there. That is awesome, everywhere I went I got quoted over 200 pp for June.

I originally wanted June 29th of 08 but in the Greek Ortodox Church weddings are not permitted on that day because its some kind of holiday. I was kinda bummed about that. And June 28th is booked at the Woodlands so I might do a June 14, 15 or June 21, 22.

Snowcutie did you book the Oheka. I remember we were FM'ing back and forth about the OHeka. I really love that place soo much. If I have a June wedding there it wil be like 500 pp, no joke. I can prob afford it it I do it off peak but I really want a June wedding. I think I have to go back to the castle once more before I book anything. They are having an expo March 1st I believe.

yeah we ended up booking there because they gave us a great price that we couldnt pass up...otherwise we would have booked the woodlands. our guest list keeps getting bigger...im hoping ppl decline!
yes...im going to the expo! even if u get married there...they still make u pay for the expo which blows but whatever
