I will be 'married' sooner than I thought!

So FH and I decided we are going to town hall to get a domestic partnership! lol

I have been having a really tough time working the weekends (thus the reason I've been so MIA lately) so FH and I decided that I should just go per diem at work so that I don't have to be obligated to work Saturday and Sunday. But- I need health benefits, so we are going to Riverhead on Thursday to register as domestic partners so that I can be covered under his insurance. Fingers crossed that this is an easy process!

Congrats!! I didn't even realize that you had to register to do that, my FH and I are doing the same thing for the same reason- he needs to go under my insurance, but they just require some shared documents to prove it. You should celebrate after going to Town Hall! Good luck with the process and I hope it makes life easier for you.

It's so nerve racking!! IDK why, but I feel like they're gonna grill us! I think we're going to the one in Riverhead, bc in order to go to the one in NYC you have to be a resident of NYC or employed by NYC. I have tons of paperwork with both of our names and our lease, so we should be okay. I'm just glad I won't have to work PT anymore lol
