I get this message on my cell last night from a company called 21st Century Today's Bride saying that I was entered at a Bridal Showcase into their sweepstakes and that I won 3 prizes. Just to call them back and claim the prizes.
So I am wondering what they are and I call back today.
I am told that I have won the following:
1- A 2 night hotel stay in one of many cities the rep. listed for me.
2- A $500 gift certificate to this company called World of America where I can redeem my certificate for one of their many items.
3- 40% off of anything this '21st Century Today's Bride' sells...they sell household items like pots, china, etc.
All this...IF...FH and I attend their 90 minute demo and info session on Saturday or Sunday in Huntington. SCAM SCAM SCAM....
I hate LIARS....I WON NOTHING!!!!

I feel the same way....
I got another call like this that was 'only for married or engaged couples' and both people had to be present in order to claim 'our winnings'.
Companies that prey on us brides to be who are always looking for something for discount or free should be shut down.
Not that I thought I had really won anything since I hadn't entered anything that I could recall.

I got that call a few weeks ago and forgot all about it!! FH just rolled his eyes and laughed also

Had I known it was some BS call, I wouldn't have bothered to call them back. The last company that called was calling repeatedly and finally when I called them back they told their story and I asked them to remove me from their database.
I don't know how people can be the ones who make these calls and lie to people. Better them than me.

I got something like this in the mail too, and I didn't even look into it. It sounded like too much of a scam.

hey girls I won 5 times. After the 5th time i said to the girl omg we must be one lucky couple to win 5 times. they said ohhh well.... um.. and hung up. I was like HA HA. such LOSERS!!!!

we got a phone call a few weeks back claiming I won a trip 4 nights or something to an all inclusive that I could use whenever.....I had to sit for a demo on the China this company was selling. My FH wouldn't let me call back and after reading this post I'm glad I didn't.

I had same call 3 weeks ago, my FH didnt want to go he said it was a scam. It probably was.
