Hey all you bride-to-bes, I'm a groom-to-be and I promised my 'FW' I'd post this most interesting topic on this message board, if only to get some feedback as to the ludicricity of my request so here goes: I am a die-hard Spiderman fan and I would like to have a Spiderman Ice Sculpture at the cocktail hour. It doesn't have to be on the table but even a sculpture of him scaling the wall would be nice. Does anybody think this is feasible and if so, can anyone recommend an ice sculpturist who can do this? Any help is really appreciative.

I think that's a great idea. It's wonderful to see a FH as involved or wanting to be involved as you. It's your day too and if you can find someone to produce spiderman - why not! (as long as your FW is not totally against it) Your future wife is very lucky.

Welcome. I am not sure who you can use, but if you ask at your hall, most can recomend someone to you. Also, maybe ask on the 'vendors helping brides' I am sure they must know a lot of people who can do it. Good luck!! Let us know how it turns out!!

I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and they had a spiderman groom's cake! I thought it was very cute and unique! If you can't get the ice scultpure, you can get the cake. I'll see if I can get a picture on here. . . The pic is too big, I can't get it on And, I can't access my email from work to have it resized.

I would definately ask your BM because sometimes if you get ice sculptures with your package all you need to do is bring in a pic and they may be able to do the ice sculpture of your choice. My FH would love that I should let him read this post then we may have in addition wolverine and the incrediable hulk

I never thought about the Incredible Hulk, what an awesome idea!!!! But I think that may be a bit over the top. My FW is the best and she understands my stipulations. She's been planning this wedding since she was 6, and me since I was 26, so most of what she wants will go, I just get to have my own little things thrown in too. For instance, I'm going to request that the song we walk into the reception room with will be 'Nookie' by Limp Bizkit. LOL, just kidding.

I guess Im in the minority but I dont think this is a great idea. I mean there is a time for stuff like spiderman and things of that ilk but an ice sculpture of spider man seems sort of out of place unless you are having a VERY different sort of wedding. So if you are having that sort of affair, more power too you.
