I like the slim menu cards. This is what I made for my DIY rehearsel dinner invites but the style can be the same for the menus.

Where did you buy your materials?

Sorry, girls, for the millions of questions I'm asking. And I know I'll probably need assembly advice, too. . .

I bought the black and white cardstock and silver rhinestone stickers from Michaels. I cut the cardstock using a papercutter from work, and then glued the two colors together after printing on the white one.

I guess I'm going to have to recruit the art teachers I work with to help me with cutting cardstock, because I am a SPAZ when it comes to cutting things. Seriously, my art teacher in elementary school used to make fun of the way I cut out circles, that's how bad I am.

To Michael's I will go after work. . .

Wow, that DID fit. . .AND the font is a readable size!!! What font did you use? And where did you get your shiny paper?

And, oh, btw, how expensive should I expect making around 200 menu cards to be? I want a blue backer card, a white top card, and maybe some ribbon on the top.

I'm almost ready to say SCREW IT and order custom printed menu cards or just use the FH ones. What should I do???

200 is a lot to print, cut and glue together but it is possible. If you split it up... say do 50 everyday, then it's not a big deal. You'll be proud of yourself!

THe font in monotype size 16. If you go to paper and cards they have great deals on paper. I am making the menu 5 x11 with a 6 x 12 border. NOt sure how much it will cost but it is fun to make them exactly how you want them to look

My mom and her BFF already told me that they would help me make menu cards, so I'm not too worried there.

Is Paper & Cards one of the stores in Farmingdale?

As long as you don't mind the effort and the expense of not using RH provided menus, sounds great!

If I had the extra money and patience to do it, I would. But apparently my gestapo of an RH doesn't allow us to provide anything DIY

Its so annoying!! Do you think they will provide a menu for each table? We have 7 choices too.

They will let u do DIY programs if you get married there...an 08 bride told me she did and it was fine
