I havent been really speaking to my FH about my ideas for the wedding, because work and school has gotten me drained, but today I was telling him about having cigar roller at the CH, and he was not at all happy. Not because he personally has a problem, but because his family will not like it, especially not my mother in law, So what other things can I do since im not going for the cigar roller? has anyone done anything different?

A glass blower, he/she can make a different design for each person and its an extra favor for them to take home. My friends brother owns an entertainment company and he said I should do this...he showed me an example and it's really cool. We are just looking for ways to cut back so I wish I could do it but I can't.

how about an impersonator -- like Micheal Jackson or Frank Sinatra?
I thought Micheal Jackson would be stupid but I saw it on this show recently and people seemed to love it (it was the old normal Micheal)

We are looking into the photobooth for ours but I was at a wedding that had live statues during the cocktail hour and it was so cool. They would stand still and all of a sudden move and everyones faces were priceless when they realized they werent fake. My friend was also looking into a characterist for hers where the guests could get their picture drawn but I wasnt sure if that would take away from the DJ and the dancing

i just read about this one in the latest issue of modern bride and i love the idea for our cocktail style reception... in lieu of a guest book, i am going to ask my friend to sketch a picture for us (haven't decided what that will be yet) and divide it up into small squares on the canvas so our guests can paint in the squares....

What about adding a station to the cocktail hour like a raw bar or sushi or something. Or, adding the cordials bar or venetian tables during dessert? Is this your gift to your FH or just something you want to do to add something to your wedding?
