IDEAS FOR COCKTAIL HOUR

IS ANYONE DOING CENTERPIECES FOR THEIR COCKTAIL HOUR. I DIDNT WANT TO BUT NOW I AM THINKING IT MIGHT LOOK TO PLAIN. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AND IDEA OF HOW I CAN DECORATE. THANKS IN ADVANCE

well i know girogios offers a medium size votive on each table, adn our florist is offering a flower to put along side...not too much.....you dont want to hog up all the space

The Sheraton is supplying the centerpieces for the CH. I'm sprinkling little leaves around it. That's it!

I am just doing votives and rose petals...or fall leaves. Haven't decided yet...

Keep in mind the tables tend to be small. You don't have much room and it's only for an hour.

My hall provides them - it's a small bowl with water and a floating flower and candle.

I'm probably going to use potted violets since they have significance in my life, but don't really fit into my other choices of flowers.

I'm not sure how it works at Villa Lombardi but we are supplied at Land's End with a small bowl which they can put shells and sand in for each table or you can float a flower in it. I am floating an orchid in the bowl on each table.

my mil will be making them. small vases with silk flowers. carlyle provides votives but i liked the flowers too.

We thought of either doing a single rose head floating in a small round bowl or a votive (in a color matching our flowers) surrounded by rose petals. You don't want it to be too big since usually the cocktail tables are pretty small. But I think it's nice to have a little something on the tables.

we just put candles out on the cocktail tables -- our place had floating carnations in small fish bowl type containers but we didn't like them and got the candle holders on sale.
