Ideas for creating table seating arrangements are needed?

Sorry, but Im spastic. When do you start figuring out who sits where?

And what method did you use?

Thank you sooo much, I will stress over this for the next 6 months..

Re: Ideas for creating table seating arrangements are needed?

Hi I'm not even close to that yet. But I'd probably do it when I know I have most of my responses back.

I think I'm going to just break up the tables first. Like aunts & uncles with aunts & uncles, cousins with cousins, friends with friends, etc. THEN I'll arrange the tables. In order of importance. I hate to say it that way. But the most important tables will be closest to the bride & groom. My reception room is rectangle so it's easy, two straight rows of tables. Good luck!

Re: Ideas for creating table seating arrangements are needed?

My site gave me a sheet with the tables laid out on a piece of paper (circles). Then I classified everyone into groups. People never work into nice little groups of 10 so I broke them out as best as I could. Then I gave the tables closest to the dance floor to the younger people and people I thought would be dancers. Old and grouchy people got the tables farther away :D

Re: Ideas for creating table seating arrangements are needed?

After we had all of our RSVP's in we arranged people according to relationships with other guests.

We had family tables, friends tables, work tables, parents guests tables, etc.

You can't really do anything with this until you have your final head count. There's not much point in arranging people if you are not sure they will be there. So you can relax for the next 6 months
