Ideas for Favors?? HELP!!!

Original post by bride-in-training08

Hey Girls,
What did you all give as a favor for your wedding? At this point we are leaning towards just doing a donation, but we wanted to try and find a cool favor. We are on a budget so $10 favors for 200 people is a bit out of range. Any inexpensive ideas that are not candy, frames/albums, coasters, bar tools or candles? My FH is one of eight kids and we are trying not to do any repeat gifts.
Has anyone done any cool set-ups on the table if they made a donation or did you just have a card with an announcement?
Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!
Thank You in advance

I plan to order rose flower pots that are place card holders. I am going to use a place card do display the donation information. This way, it will explain the donation and then they can remove the card and it will be a cute display item for them at home.

how about wine bottles?

We did full size wine bottles that were really inexpenisive- we did one per couple and got our wine at a discount at Cappy's in Valley Stream.
We ordered organza wine bags and then put favor tags on them- whole thing probably cost us about $4.50-$5.00 per favor.

Everyone really loved them- we did one per couple and people were trying to take more than one home... it was funny to watch.

I have pics in my albums of the favors fully put together.

I will be giving out fragrance tart warmers with a 'hollyberry' scented tart. I got one of these at a wedding once and have used it a zillion times since, so I'm totally copying the idea!
