You certainly do not have to. If you want to, of course you can. I didn't. I thought it would just be uncomfortable, and I didn't like the tradition.

No you don't have to wear one...but you might fall into the trap I am. MY godmother already bought me one and when she was talking about it, she sounded so excited. I think I will feel too bad not wearing it. My point being, someone close to you might also buy you one and give it to you at your shower and you might feel obligated to wear it.

Thanks ladies. Good point well if someone buys me one, they wont know if Im wearing it. Hmm Oh well Ill deal with it as it gets closer.

I wore one for a little while, then took it off. It wasn't in any pictures.
