if i don't buy the dresses from a store and get them at netbride.....

will it cost more to get them altered b/c we don't buy them through a place??

My bm's are getting their dresses thru vera wang and they don't do alterations. My BM's told me that unless the places are cutting you a deal if you have a regular tailor it was going to cost them the same or less. Actually they told me they would prefer to have their regular tailor work on them.

(This is if they are not cutting you a deal on alterations where you get the dresses)

Could you price the alterations at places that have the dress and then figure out if there would be enough of a difference to order them online?

I'm not sure about altering. If you don't get them online- check out Helen's in Commack (not sure if this is too far for you). They had the best prices of the dress I was looking at.
