I think ours is $350 for the church and $150 for musicians. so yes - what do we do as a donation? I'm confused on the tipping thing - what is everyone else doing?

500 which we can pay off within a year and then 200 to organist and 50 to cantor and 35 to saxton, i don't even know what those are!

i believe ours is $400 plus the $ for organist and $ for the singer (but they are optional) and we might do strings/etc. which is a different vendor and a different fee

We paid $400.00 and then it was $175.00 for pre cana....then $20.00 for the Alter boys.
IMO the amounts are crazy....this is the church I belong to also.
ETA I forgot the $150.00 for the musician

i am not tipping the priest or the organist- but I am planning on tipping the altar servers- maybe $10 each or so- but I doubt a priest can take a tip & in my case we have to pay the organist separately- so in my mind, that means no tip

it is considered in poor taste to tip the church and its workers...if you feel the need to tip further you can do so in form of a donation in their name. However, tipping the altar boys and such is ok.

I wanted to get married in my family church and even being a member they wanted $2000.00

Yes that is 2000.00 not a miss print--
so we are getting married at the RH

trust me i almost passed out when they told me too..
