If I may ask those getting married in a church

what did you have to pay as a 'donation?'

$500 total $250 for the church and $250 to the pastor.........we were thinking about becoming members of the church to get it for free but we dont have time

we are not required to make one but we will still be giving one. around $200

We're actually paying to have our wedding at a church, so it's not a donation but an actual fee.

Personally I think wedding ceremonies at a church should be completely free and that any donations given are within the means of the couple rather than a 'suggested donation' amount.

I think that marriage upholds the values they stand for and that to charge so much for it isn't very 'Godly'.

$450, that includes music. I am looking at it as it includes flowers since there will be Easter flowers all over the place!

Ours is $300- its $175 for the church & $125 for the organist/singer

$750 .....OUCH!!!! I wish we were going to pay less but of course they have to mention that it helps pay for the AC....Of Course FH was like it does nto matter in JUly we need AC....I will not be using $750 worth of AC....
