Probably the North Ritz Club. I thought it was beautiful there. Unfortunately, I am determined to not spend too much on my wedding - i want to buy a house - and they refused to negotiate at all on the price. Oh well, I can still honestly say I love my hall too.

Hudson Theatre on broadway. It's a theatre converted into a reception hall. You sit at table where the normal seating would be and the stage is the dance floor. I would have decorated it like Phantom and had it near Valentine's Day. I think it would have been great because we got engaged durng phantom.

Well the funny thing is that after all the extras and everything, I am very close to amount pp as the place that I had wanted it at...Gotham hall, you have to see the room, i am gonna try and post it, its gorgeous...but the problem with it and also with capitale in the city which we loved was the food...It was food most of our family isn't really into...And with capitale its so weird bc just about all their entree choices were mostly fish

Re: If money wasn't a factor...
ahem. . .
i have talked about this before BUT i love to think about it!
i would fly everyone over to Sicily and get married in my uncle's vineyard - right in the middle so you have to actually dance through the vines lol - everyone would eat homemade fresh food and drink homemade wine - there wouldnt be 100 choices but there would be like 3 or 4 really good plates
i would also get married in the church that my parents got married in, get dressed in my grandfather's house and travel to the reception in a sicilian donkey and carriage!!!
i would so love that!
ETA: but for regular venues i would definitely still choose JT but get married MUCH sooner and maybe in a warmer month lol

Gotham Hall is absolutely fantastic!!! I was seriously considering that too. I work as an event coordinator for a catering company/event planning company that does events there and similar NYC venues. I probably could have got an amazing deal BUT I felt the same way about our families expecting something different with the type and quantity of food. But after I saw my hall, I fell in absolute love with it anyway, and its my dream place and I am 100 % happy for it.
But to answer the question, when I was a bit younger, I always dreamed of having my wedding at the Plaza, so I guess I would pick there, just for sentimental value. I still plan on taking pictures that day in front by the fountain!!!
