Yes, good call. Once you hit mid-end November you don't know what the mail will be like!

Definitly agree, first week of november, you want to give people about 3 weeks time to respond before the rsvp date too.

My eparty was 12/7 and we had a response date of 11-15...nothing too crazy it was just an e-party.

Probably last week of November because it's around the holidays.

Re: If my engagement party is January 2nd...
Ours was in February and I think we sent out invites Dec 28th. Our RSVP was Feb 8th.. the party was Feb 28th... there were people who didn't even RSVP until a day before... and the day of!
I think you should send it the last week of October if you have an RSVP date of Dec 1st. If you put them in the mail on Oct 31st (sat) they will prob get to your guests around Nov. 3rd. and we all know guests like to wait until the day AFTER the RSVP date to put it in the mail.. lol, plus with Thanksgiving and other holidays and Christmas shopping, everyones head is somewhere else. So do it as early as possible.. but not TOO early.

4-6 weeks before the RSVP date is typical for any non-wedding invite. Wedding invites are 6-8 weeks
