If you already stayed at the Bora Bora Pearl Resort

Were there any reasonably priced breakfast or lunch places within walking distance?

Was there anything within walking distance?

How reliable was the shuttle boat service?

I haven't gone yet, but i did do a little homework on these topics.

The BB Pearl is on a motu, which is a tiny island in the lagoon. The hotel is the only thing on the island. No stores or anything. There is a shuttle to the 'big' Bora Bora, but from what i understand, there aren't any stores there either. If you made a reservation for a restaurant, you take the shuttle boat from the motu to the 'big' Bora Bora and a bus/car from the restaurant will pick you up at the dock. They will also bring you back to the dock.

We are going to Moorea first, and staying on the Pearl there, which is walking distance to shops. I think we'll buy snacks and bottled water there, and lug it to the Pearl so we don't have to pay inflated hotel prices for those things.

Additional info:

The Pearl provides a shuttle from the dock to Vaitape, but it does not always meet the boat. You can get a schedule from the activites desk to see which boats are met by shuttles to Vaitape.
