If you are a Yankee fan - do NOT read this thread!

Totally true story.

I am currently at the bar DJing.

Some knucklehead at the middle of the 8th inning comes up to me and says, 'Yo man... how bout we get a little New York, New York going after the Yanks win.'

I am like, 'Nah man.' He responds with, 'Come on man... its against Boston.'

I tell him 'Dude... the Yanks haven't even WON the game yet.'

He continues to heckle me and then walks away.

Low and behold... Rivera blows the save... The Sox end up winning... and this guy eats some MAJOR CROW courtesy of DjPiLL.

Talk about open mouth, insert foot, and jinxing your team.

Anyone thats not a Yankee fan (er.. Don) will surely appreciate this story.... especially since its a true one.

Great story!! Just finished watching the game with DH. Very nice!!!

I love how you started with a warning!!!

I love it when Boston comes to town cause as a lifelong METS fan (and i dont care that they suck, a true fan gets that already so stop telling me MY EnTIRE TEAM SUCKS lol i almost forgot to laugh!!!!!!!)))))
I love to see the high and mighty yanks eat some dust

Of course the warning made me come in to see the post...and as one of the boards DIE hard Yankee fans..I still saw the humor in the story! The Yanks/Boston thing is famous..I think if they had won, maybe you could have done it for the guy anyway, your not suppossed to have personal preferences are ya? I know when the Mets play Atlanta , I was rooted on the METS..thats a NEW YORK thing...

Off topic but I hate when people root for Boston just to stick it to the Yank's....Root for your team or the Better team or the NY team in my opinion...

But Anyway...DJ...that was a funny story! ( the guy with the request was my friend by the way...) JUST KIDDING!

I didn't read the above BUT
Just wanteds to say...GO YANKES last5 night

For the record.... I did have the song cued in my terciary CD player... so I would have played it if they would have won.

I was even shocked they lost. They did do well the next two games though.
