if you could choose the sex of a baby

so DH insurance covers voluntary in vitro

and i called about it since i have problems getting preggers and asked more about what it is exactly and whats the catch ( cause thats pricey)

they said im covered 100% if its needed or not..this woman tells me if i wanted to do it that way SIMPLY by choice ( as if i have no problems getting prgenant)

so me and DH are probably going to do it but heres the kicker..YOU CAN CHOSE THE SEX OF THE BABY

they can single out the sperm and plant it in the egg so you can even decide if you want a boy or girl before its planted in your uterus

were thinking of doing this because of our fear of having a girl

wanted to what you girls would do if you could choose

wow, well I would choose girl because I really really want a daughter (I've been praying for one) I know it sounds crazy.

every woman that shares his name (last name ) in his family back 4 generations have been diagnosed bi polar and are all completly crazy..like not in a funny way..like something is wrong with these dont want to have that cause its BS but i do want one eventually

my dream is 4 BOYS all 2 years apart

To tell you the truth, I don't think I could pick. I feel like whatever we are supposed to have we will and I don't like messing with stuff like that.

If I were in your shoes and you were definetly going to do it I would ask them to just do it by chance and let nature take its course

I would ABSOLUTELY have a girl.

I heard quotes about $20K for sex selection...

Wow! I didn't know they let you pick the sex! A few of my friends are going this route right now due to trouble conceiving and they never mentioned anything like that! I think that I would not ask for a particular sex, but then again I would like 2 girls and 2 boys down the road so either one would be fine by me. I hope everything works out for you.

if we ended up with say 2 boys i would def chose to have a girl the 3rd time around- the only reason we would keep trying after 2 kids is to have a girl - we both really want a daughter one day - i would do it and i dont see anything wrong with doing it....
