and i called about it since i have problems getting preggers and asked more about what it is exactly and whats the catch ( cause thats pricey)
they said im covered 100% if its needed or not..this woman tells me if i wanted to do it that way SIMPLY by choice ( as if i have no problems getting prgenant)
so me and DH are probably going to do it but heres the kicker..YOU CAN CHOSE THE SEX OF THE BABY
they can single out the sperm and plant it in the egg so you can even decide if you want a boy or girl before its planted in your uterus
were thinking of doing this because of our fear of having a girl
wanted to what you girls would do if you could choose

If I believed in doing this I would choose a girl- but only because FH's family only has 2 girls in it and they are 15 years apart. And one isn't even his first cousin. So if it runs like every 15 yr a girl comes there isnt another girl due for another 10 years
But I don't believe in messing with mother nature. In my opinion I just think we should hope and pray for healthy children- whether it be boy, girl, twins!!!
There are so many children our days with autism, MS, CP etc. It is a miracle if your child does not have an illness or disability when born. And I look at it as just that- my child is a miracle no matter what (even if he/she is disabled) because I was able to have this child and bring him or her into this world!!!

To tell you the truth, I don't think I could pick. I feel like whatever we are supposed to have we will and I don't like messing with stuff like that.
If I were in your shoes and you were definetly going to do it I would ask them to just do it by chance and let nature take its course JMO

Wow! Thats pretty neat. If I had to choose, I dont know which I would choose. FH wants a girl, and I want both, but I think I want a boy first so my girl has a older brother
But other than your situation, I would not want to know the sex of the baby, especially with the first one, I would want the excitement of being suprised. FH on the other hand wants to know so we can prepare accordingly

I have always wanted one of each sex... im not opposed to choosing the sex of the baby, to each their own. I saw something about this on TV (Montel? maybe) where the woman and her husband kept having boys so they went through this process to have a girl. I've always wanted to adopt too, so maybe if it came down to it, I would just adopt.

If I could choose I really don't know what I'd do. I really really want a girl but I always thought it'd be cool to have a boy first so he could be the protective older brother! Soooo I don't think I'd be able to make up my mind...I'd let it happen naturally. BUT if I had 2 boys and was trying again I would probably go for it and try to have a girl! A long as they're happy healthy babies I'm happy!
