If you have a wedding with under 100 people - do you hire a DJ?
Hey all,A friend of mine cannot figure out if she wants to do a destination wedding or not, and if she has her wedding here she might want to keep it really simple.
I have never been to just a small dinner reception with like 60 ish (under 100 people) so when she asked me I wasn't sure if she should get a DJ or not.
I've been to a birthday party at a restaurant thought with a DJ and I thought it was a lot of fun so I would recommend it if it's in the budget but I thought I'd ask around for her and see what other people's experiences were.
if she were to do it at a restaurant I'm sure it would be really nice with a separate room, etc.

I'm having about 60 guests and doing everything the same as if it were 200 people. It all depends on what you want. Still having it in a catering hall, photographer, cinematography, dj, flowers.

I think it depends what kind of a vibe the couple wants for there day. If it's smaller and at a restaurant I don't think it's neccessary but if it's at a catering hall I think I'd think it was weird if there was no music. My friend had 100 people and had a dj and it was a great time.

Def a DJ. 60 is still a lot of people. Plenty of places are affordable for under 100 people

Thanks guys!! You are all probably right, I have a hard time picturing what a room of 60 looks like for her. But at least I've seen LOTS of venues and I can help with that area!

Swan Club has rooms that fit 75 people and that place is beautiful and reasonably priced
