I strongly recommend doing the thing where you number the backs of the RSVP cards, and keeping a list of whose invite corresponds with what number. Just today, we got an RSVP card back w/just a box checked, no names filled in. FH immediately got annoyed, but I remained calm b/c I knew all i had to do was find out who '#58' was. It's an added step when you're in a hurry to get the invites out, but in the end you can save yourself a little bit of stress!

My FSIL did that on her invites...I was wondering what that number was for. Now it all makes sense.

definitely do this -- I got back 2 responses with no names also -- but they were numbered so it all worked out

I did the same thing...it is a must, espeically for those that have horrible handwriting and you haev no idea what the name is that they wrote!!!
