I would pay off my student loans and other debt (FH's too). Have a large house built on the north shore of LI, buy a Lexus RX300, buy FH a car and then make sure my parents, grandparents and brother were 'comfortable'. I might set-up a private foundation to give back to charity.

Ohhhh, if I won before the wedding, I'd have the most extravagant wedding ever!

I would buy my dream house. Invest some of it, maybe into Liweddings. And take all of my family on a fabulous vacation.

I would buy my parents, brothers, and in-laws a house and make sure they were comfortable (after buying myself a few homes in the Caribbean).

Then pay off all our debts, get a new car, a small condo in the area for visits and buy a big house someplace else to live in.

Give money to family members and friends to get them set up comfortably.

Charter a fantastic vacation for all our family and friends - first class all the way!

Great question! I actually think about this more often than I should!

First thing hubby and I would do is pack a bag and go somewhere so that we could let it all sink in and think about what to do.

Then we'd do some serious planning!

1/10 to my church
a donation to charity
pay off ALL our bills
Put a big chunk of the money in investments
Give a check to family and friends
Buy a beautiful home in Westchester
Purchase our Dream Cars (Convertibles Benz)
Purchase a couple vacations homes - one in the islands, one in Hawaii and one in Europe
Get some investment properties
Take a 1 month (or more) vacation and go to places I've always wanted to travel to.

I could go on and on! I guess I've really been thinking about this! Maybe i'll win one day!

I would pay for college for all my nieces and nephew
Buy DH any kinda boat he wanted
Buy a house in Breckenrigde CO

Give my parents enough money to retire
And send them on a trip around the world for as long as they wanted to travel.
and the list goes on and on and on....

this happened to my BIL's FIL...he married a widow that is worth $375 million!!! more than the queen of England!! too bad he doesn't spread the wealth...not even to his daughter and grandchildren...

I would buy buy buy...real estate:

Del Mar, CA (ocean front)
Lake Tahoe (for skiing)
NYC brownstone
Menorca in Spain


finish my tour of all the continents...build parnets dream house in FL...and MIL's in AZ...maybe sisters in Northport


then let the money work for me for the rest of my life and live in luxury

Give $1M to each of my parents & my brother, and each of FI's siblings.

Put the rest in some sort of trust/investment so we could live off of it and never have to work again.

1-Quit work forever!
2-buy homes in different areas, LI, Florida etc etc
3-Donate alot to charities, I want to help
4-pay off any bills
5-give $ to family & close friends
6-Buy my hummer, mercedes and an old 1958 rolls royce (I always wanted to have one to keep)
7-Travel!
8-Have weekly massages, manicure & pedicures at MY house

Jenbaby you can have someone come to your house daily and gussie you all up everyday
