How are you going about this at the ceremony? Are you having the priest announce there will be no receiving line? TIA

We are having a waterfront ceremony, directly after guests will be invited inside by the staff at the catering hall for the cocktail hour, dinner will follow. I would rather spend time with my guests at each table having a more relaxed conversation while the party is going than having everyone shuffle from one foot to the other in line...

Usually the B&G, immeditae family and wedding party lines up immeditaly after the ceremony so guests can congratulate and offer wishes individually.

I was told by photographer not to have the priest announce anything because they will handle the entire situation

The priest could always say 'The bride and Groom look foward to seeing you all at the reception site immediately foollowing this service...' Something along those lines...
