in my family, at some point around my year mark - all talking about showers STOPPED. . . that is just how we do it in my family. . . like i pretend i dont know that i am having one, and they pretend they are not throwing me one - trying to keep it 100% a surprise
FILs on the other hand, talk to me about it all the time! I mean, not where or when it is but like:
'Oh I may wear this to your shower' 'I was shopping for your shower yesterday and I noticed this on your registry' 'I wonder if so and so is coming to your shower'
and i want to cover my ears and scream LA LA LA
So, my question is: Do you people talk about your shower with you?

All the time. My BP and my mom constantly talk about what they're wearing, and they want to know what I'm planning to wear.
FMIL hasn't said a word though. I guess it just depends on your family.

It is way to early for shower talk for me but my family is like yours at some point they will just stop talking about. Unfortunately I don't think it will be a surprise (even though they will try and make it one) because my sister has to come in from NC and his sister from WI -- unless they do it this Christmas there is no reason they would both be in town at the same time on a random weekend!

well i have a ton of time..but like..i dont think anyone will discuss anythign with me..except to get a guest list
but when it happens i keep thinkin of how they will get me there..

My mom has asked me a few questions..... like where I want it, and what kind of things I want for it...... but that's about it.
Nobody else has mentioned it..... I do still think they won't be able to surprise me..... but who knows!
And, my MOH is notorious for ruining surprise showers (by accident)..... so much so, that my mom doesn't even want to tell her when it is until like, a few days before!! LOL
I'm pretty sure FH knows everything, I think my mom has spoken to him about it!

they basically do the same thing in my family. My sister asked for my shower list awhile ago. I KNOW she is working on it but no one really directly says anything to me about it

Tilde that is sooo funny bc MY family is exactly the same. It's like what shower??? FIL's are always bringing it up...LoL My mother had to actually call FSIL to tell her please don't let Crystan get any info!!..LoL (of course FSIL told me..hahah)
