We always do the whole 'if you had an infinite budget' thread so I'm wondering the reverse - if you only had half of your budget, what would you change or cut out?
I would get married in a more 'off' month (I thought October was off season - turns out its just as expensive as summer! ) in the same place and chose a less expensive limo.

i would get married in an off month. Cut down on the flower budget, and lose the VH hour. If needed I would also try and find a cheaper photographer worst case scenario.

I'd probably have a sunday afternoon wedding in November and take out viennese hour.

i would cut my guest list down a lot, do my own album for photo and no video.

i would do an off month like march and cut the list to at least 50 less , no video, no limo, and a really small flower budget

Maybe keep my RH, and see if fam and friends could help me with DIY CPs, Bo-ks, Invites ..and then I'd tell everyone to please, please, please take a ton of pics and send them to me via snapfish lolz..make a playlist on my ipod and hook it up to some speakers...
I think that covers most of the stuff...
OMG do you know how much cheaper stuff is in buffalo ... if all our family and friends wasn't on LI i think i might do it here.

I would probably beg my in laws to put a second mortgage on their house! LOL or i would get married in the Dominican Republic which is where my parents now live and where i originally wanted to get married anyway but my mom wouldnt have it! lol

if i couldnt get back any of my deposits, i would keep everything the same, but cut out transportation, favors, all the extras, STD's and DIY my invites.
otherwise i'd probably have a destination wedding

i would first cut my guest list....in half! i would probably eliminate limos, do my own flowers and get a simpler photo package (w/o albums) and probably cut out professional video...

maybe an afternoon wedding and id have to chose some different vendors for my photo and video for sure....either that or elope/destination wedding....im not really sure

Good question. . . but a hard one.
I like the idea of eloping BUT I think the family would kill me. Maybe I would try to do a really small (close close family only) wedding in someone's backyard or a small restaurant.

The first thing I would have to do is change my venue. Then probably get married in the winter or something to bring the price per person down even further.

we'd runaway to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and get married there with a video camera and a few essential guests. it's what i wanted in the first place, but family puts on pressure for a wedding, so here we are.
