are you planning on having a receiving line? at first we were going to have one with just us, but now we're thinking we might skip it because it will take forevs

Re: if you're having a big wedding (over 175 people)
We're doing one at the church. We have a big time gap, so I figured it'd be a good way to kill time.

I agree. We are def doing it at the church. Plus, since everyone doesn't always make it to the ceremony it'll take less time than at the reception.

We're not. We have no time in between the church and reception.

We're doing it at the church and then we're going to walk around at the CH.

We're actually definitely having a receiving line. We figure if we do a receiving line and go to the cocktail hour (which originally we weren't going to do), then we won't have to go table to table at the reception - which will otherwise take FOREVER.

If you have a time gap I would say do it... if everything is pretty close together I say skip it,. We're getting married at the RH and our cocktail hour starts basically right after the ceremony... we'll miss the entire thing if we do one.

We're planning for up to 180 and yes we are doing a receiving line. However, our ceremony is on a Friday night at 5 PM so we expect that many people will only attend the reception. HTH!

We arent doing one. We are going to at our cocktail hour so we will see ppl there AND we are getting up to say a few words to everyone at the beginning of the reception.
