If you're on the fence about table cameras

Original post by Mrs. dleeny

Get them! even if you only do them on every other table, IMO, it’s worth it.

I just picked up the table camera pictures from being developed and yes, there are some bad ones, blurry ones too, but there are a lot of really great pics in there! So glad we did it!

too many drunk people taking pics of each other!!

I didn't do it either. It depends on the guest really. Some people get great shots. Some guests never use the cameras.

That's true. Plus, so many people bring their own cameras to the wedding, I think its an unnecessary expense.

I was going to get the table cameras as well but in this day of digital cameras and e-mail addresses.... I think I could skip this one.

I agree get one and make sure you mark it so people know they can and should use it. I didnt do that and 2 of my aunts lent me a hand at the end and walked around and finished them all. Or make an announcement or something.

My feeling is that if you're looking for nice, well-posed, pretty shots of your guests, this probably won't work for you, but if you want some fun, goofy memories, this is where you'll get them.

exactly! I have almost 900 gorgeous proofs from my amazing photographer, but for the $80 I spent on this, I now have a lot of funny candid shots of our guests and some nice one's of DH and I too

I def want to do this, even if we only get a few good shots, i think it is worth it...

dleeny - did you get wedding motif cameras? like the white floral ones? i assume that woudl look much better than the reg black and yellow disposables....

I thought about them but I don't really like disposable camera pics in general. I've heard of brides not knowing what to do with all of the pictures between friends and families cameras and their photographer pics....if I had the extra cash I'd try it tho- can't hurt!!

I bought the Fuji celebration packs from Walmart. they were $19 for 4 cameras and I had $3 off coupons. they were nicely decorated in foil and came with the tent cards.

they were also 800 speed for low lighting.

the pics were definitely not super high quality or anything, but they're very nice memories

we had 10 tables & had 1 black & white & 1 color camera on each table and other than 3 or 4 stupid pictures that my brother took most of the others all came out great. My daughter (BM) and my MOH were in charge of making sure they got finished up & brought home by my daughter. She dropped them all off to be developed & I picked them all up when we got back from our HM.

ETA: I also used all Kodak cameras!
