For some reason I am hearing 'clap your hands' right now in my head

So, we are $1,788.31 over budget (assuming we book a vendor that is $500 over the budget).

Anyone else going over

we were a few thousand over budget but it was worth EVERY PENNY!

I decided that I give up!! FH and I just had a talk about it and decided that we'll just deal and figure it out somehow/someway. I was told that I had to stop thinking about the vienese hour though but I'll try to figure that out it's only another few thousand!!! I'm going wedding crazy now!!!

me too! But part of that was that I had no idea how much to budget for things like invitations, officiant, limos, etc. Plus I forgot to budget in some of the small stuff. Oops

I think we are okay!! Never really set a concrete budget to begin with, but just had an idea of what we 'wouldn't' spend, if that makes any sense. For example, I wouldn't spend 8,000 on a band or photographer. So i went with a DJ and a photographer that was much less. Ask me again in 4 months and we will see if I am begging on the street corner for some change!!

Overall, I don't think we're over budget, (at least, FH says we're not over budget, but I think we are), but we are over budget on specific items. For example, let's say we budgeted $500 for invitations, the ones we like are $750, but we budgeted let's say $1500 for DJ, and are only spending $1000, so we can order the invites even though they are more than the invitation budget, because we didn't spend all the money in the DJ budget. Does this make sense?

lol I think were 6,000 over the FIRST budget....but I think were right on target with the revised budget! LOL

I figure... in the grand scheme of things, what's a few hundred or thousand more if it makes your day PERFECT?! That's why we're splurging and getting the chocolate fountain and the candy buffet!
