I contemplated whether or not to make this post, but we all know what I decided in the end.
I know that Leonards has a policy that they will keep bridal parties separated if they have two weddings on the same day, but i'm still worried. The funny part is I wouldn't know this is happening if both me and the other bride were not members of this forum. Turns out that the other bride having her reception also at leonards on the same day as me has THE SAME DRESS. I'm not sure how to react. I don't want the day to turn akward for either of us. and I don't want to be one of those girls who are like: well, I booked the place first and bought my dress first......blah. That's just not me. But at the same time, I'm not willing to change anything about my day, and I'm sure she doesn't want to either. I was thinking to sneaking up to her and congratulating her, but now I don't know.
Thanks for letting me rant, and any advice would be wonderful. How would you feel if this was happening to you?

Re: I'm a bit confused
I would relax and try not to worry about it.
No one can steal your day and your party! I'm sure the other bride was not trying to do that and won't think you are either.
I'm sure you won't even see her -- though if you plan on congratulating her day of, you may want to FM her first, so she's not shocked.
Trust me, you're day will be wonderful - and it won't matter what other parties are going on or who is wearing what. You will have a wonderful time with the people who mean the most to you, and your day will be as beautiful and unique as you'd hoped.

Personally, I wouldn't care. I think it is kind of cool. If it were me, I'd even arrange over FM to meet the bride and take a pic together.

I can see why you might feel weird about it at first, but give it some time and you'll get over it. You won't be in the same room 99.99% of the night, and to be honest it is kind of funny and ironic. I wouldn't worry about it.

I know that great minds think alike, but this is too weird.

Does her reception start at the same time as yours? Usually they are staggered so there isn't much interaction between brides.
I wouldn't worry about it, you'll both have your own great days!

I agree completely. Don't let this stress you out!! You'll both be so busy that day that you won't run into each other, or you could coordinate getting a picture taken too. It would be really cute, I mean, what are the chances of the same hall, same day, same dress? It's too coincidental to pass up! But most importantly, don't stress about it, but do what makes you comortable!

Re: I'm a bit confused
personally, I really dont' see this as an issue. There were 3 other weddings taking place on my wedding day, and I didn't see another bride, or bridal party the entire day. Trust me, you'll be too into your day to notice much of anything.

how's that for luck huh?
Well, I would totally feel the same way if I were in your position. I would express the feeling to your BM while planning your big day. Make them make sure neither of you are seen at the same time. Just try not to think about it.......I know easier said than done.

Honestly-I havent written my review yet on Leonards, but this wil be included in there...
I would let your BM know that you do NOT want to see the other bride. I told mine, but I had the worst Maitre D in the world, and I saw another bride.
I was just comin out of my main room-after takin a few pics w/just my husband in there, she had just come up on the elevator. The floor manager covered his head n said 'this wouldnt have hapened if ur MD was paying attention'. i didnt get THAT upset, but i was stil upset....

Re: I'm a bit confused
Another LIW bride and I both had our weddings at Fox Hollow at the same time, and we even had the same shoes!
In all honesty, I would'nt have even seen her, had she not approached my aunt (well, my aunt probably approached her) in the bathroom.
Chas is a sweetie and we even took a few pix together!
You make the scenerio what it is - negative or positive. I found it to be a positive experience to share it with Chas...we are two different people, and had we had the same EVERYTHING, we still differ.
