I'm a dork, I know, but more questions.

Okay, so being that we just got engaged, we are being told to wait, but I don't know how long to wait .. we have no idea when to do things. My mom didn't have a real wedding, nor did his mother. So when do we go for engagment pictures? When do we do engagment announcements? When do I start planning a wedding? Where do I look for good photographer for the photos? Ahhh I don't know where to start! Your help will be greatly appreciated.

OMGOSH! You got me so excited!!!!!! The 06 girls are going thru that now... soon (not too soon) that will be us!!!! Let's just try not to be as fertile as they seem to be right now! I don't want a HM baby!!!!!

Start doing everything ASAP...... Before you know it the wedding will be here. Time flys, as I am told by everyone. I would defintely start doing everything now. I had my hall and church a week after I got engaged. My STD's are not going out until April 2007, but got them made up two months ago. It depends what type of person you are also. I like to do things right away and not wait...... Hope that helps...

Me either! As a matter of fact the thought of that alone scares me! But I think that's because I'm sooooo looking forward to finally getting to just pick up and do stuf and go places with my FH after we're married, you know like spontaneous weekend getaways and stuff.

My mother has had me on lockdown for the past 24 years! I've only gone away with FH once on vacation and you don't even know the tricks and lies that were laid out well in advance to cover all the steps!

The best part is we didn't even go alone! We went with one of his brothers and three of our friends and it still would have been forbidden had I told her the truth! BTW she still remains in the dark about it!



So yea DEFINITELY no HM baby's for us!!!!!!

my parents are so the opposite.. my first year of college FH went to school in MA and my parents didnt want me to go up there alone so they would actually drive me up on Thursday after class leave me there for the weekend and then come back and get me on sunday!.. they love him and they are so cool with 'pretending to not know what goes on'

yea my parents were super lenient too! FH is a little older and he had his own place and I stayed there ALL the time, I wouldn't come home for a few weeks at a time. I moved in with him when I was 22 and my parents were like 'yay we get an extra closet'

yup my parents were ready to pack my bags then they decided to let us move into their new house upstaris and make us an apt. which was so nice so instead of gaining extra space their gaining an extra child...

OH MY GOD!!!!... my FMIL found the empty wrapper and then FFIL sat FH down for a chat and FH said...'dad no worries you should be happy that im having sex with megan shes on the pill' i almost died iwas so embarrassed.

haha that's too funny! My friend from work is saying that her b/f's mother is always telling her that she wants a grandchild and anytime there is a baby around she makes her 'try the baby on because she wants to see how she looks with one' and she's only 21, this woman is sick. So anyway, she found a condom wrapper in her b/fs room and called the both of them in to yell at them...BECAUSE HOW IS SHE SUPPOSED TO GET A GRANDCHILD WHEN THEY'RE USING THOSE THINGS?! how crazy?!

yea i moved out of my house to move up to rochester last october, and then moved back here July this past summer with Justin, and my mom and family have no problem with it.. my mom said as long as she dont have any grandkids before i'm married, she'll be fine with it... lol

I dunno...I always though the order was:
Hall
Band/ DJ
Photog & videog
honeymoon
Flowers
Limos
Favors
Etc.....

I def have not followed any of that...I have my favors down and my toss for the ceremony LOL
No hall, no band, no flowers, i might have a limo and a trolley co., and i have an idea about photog and videog...yeah...

We need to book a hall and set a friggin date already...this board is gonna start JUMPING in about a month with all the newly engaged couples and I'm gonna lose my mind if we don't book by then....i don't want these newbies taking my days!

No seriously though...it all comes down to Someone needs to show me where the tree is so I can pick some $100s off and book Flowerfield already and be

Talking about engagment parties, I'm debating on even having one or not. It's difficult for us to have parties with both families because we live here in LI with my family, but his family lives in Rochester, and I feel bad making them drive down or come down for everything here ... And then I was debating, do we have one up there with just the families and friends there?? And then another one down here with friends and family here? It just seems like a hassle!!! HELP ME BRIDES! lol
