Im a little angry right now!!

Well I promised myself that I wouldn't be a bridezilla and I would just go with the flow of things, but my BM's are being a total pain in the a$$. I moved the date up to July, so I told them, two weeks ago, that their dresses had to be ordered by tomorrow, to come in on time. I check with bridal store today and only 3 of my 7 girls ordered their dresses. I just sent out an email saying that if you dont order your dress by tomorrow morning, you cant be in the bridal party. I feel bad about having to do this... Am I being mean????

This happened to me too. All they had to do was pick up the phone and call their measurements in. And two of them just couldn't get around to it. IMO it's TOUGH $#*! if you're bothering them, it needs to get done.

I had the same issue. My BMs missed the deadline to order their dresses twice. I finally sent them a 'Dude Order your dress today!' email and they did.
You think about your wedding everyday, they don't. Sometimes they need reminders.

LOL basically I told them today in the email, if you cant order it, dont worry, youll have more fun as a guest...

I'm going through the same thing right now - how hard is it to get it done I had set a deadline for Feb 23, since my dress manufacturer gets discontinued very fast and it is not a big company on the East Coast. And now it is March 12, and I still only have 3 out of 7...... I hate annoying them by emailing them and seeing if they got it yet, but honestly how hard is it to get done

I think the part that makes me angry is that one of my BMs got married last September and I was her MOH, I ran around like crazy for her and was the first of her BMs to order their dress, and she is being the MOST impossible with getting anything done.

Happened to me too. I needed them to get it done and I sent out an email explaining it as well.

They all went out and got fitted.

I think you did the right thing - I still haven't gotten my BMs to try stuff on even - I finally just said 'March 25th we're going, if you're there, great, if not I'll order your dress for you...' Suddenly, they're all able to come on that day. Sometimes you just have to stop being so nice & patient & just lay it down!

I've known brides that told their BMs if they didn't get their measurements in that the bride would order whatever size she chose for them and they'd have to deal with it.

Oh my god, this happened to me too!! I told my girls in DECEMBER to have their dresses by March 1, so it will have time to come in and then be altered. 2 out of 6 have gotten them!!!!

I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went through that....i picked the dresses out in September..some girls didnt order until fuckin november

made me so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel you completely, I told the girls from September, and the dresses were not ordered until December!! Luckily they're now in, but damn we were cutting it close!!

And all they had to do was make a phone call!!!

I had the same issue. FH told his sister that if she didnt call them in then she wanst in the bridal party. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do.

You are not being a bridezilla. The fact of the matter is, you gave them ample time, and they are not cooperating.

yea, i wouldn't feel too bad about it! sometimes we need to be blunt to get these things done! you have enough to worry about already.

Thanks ladies... Im so happy Im not the only one going through this... So far one of my BMs responded to my email and called her measurements in today. The others I have not heard from. So at this point im counting them OUT I dont have the time to deal with this!!!!

Skip the e-mails and get on the phone. This way they cant say they didnt check their mail.
Be aggressive, it is your day and they need to understand this.

i thought this part of planning was very difficult too. I am not good with telling other people what to do. So after they got their measurements, i just ordered their dresses myself and they just reimbursed me. I found this to be the easiest way :)
