I'm a newbie ;]

I attempted to post a few questions that I had on another website forum. I wasn't greeted so pleasantly, so I hope this one is different!

I'm getting married in April of 2010. So far, we have booked our church and are trying to decide [within the next few days] between two reception halls.

I have a few quick questions about some things. :]

My 'maid of honor' is my 7 year old daughter.
My 'matron of honor' is my Aunt, who is very close and motherly to me. I have a relationship with my Mom, so I couldn't bump the Mother of the Bride title from her. Onward..

My fiance only has one best man. How would I have them walk?

I was thinking this... I was thinking that the best man [who is my future hubby's dad] could walk down with my daughter.. and then my brother [who is also in the wedding] could walk with my Aunt.

Would this be acceptable?

Welcome..you can have them walk down however you want it is your day. I think the way you have it is fine or you could have your daughter walk down by herself

you could even have the guys be standing next to your FH while the girls walk one by one... but anyway you chose will work as there are no set rules.

Thanks. We are dealing with possibly losing a groomsman also. He has been very distant for a few weeks now, and we aren't sure if he's going to be around in a few more months for the wedding. It's quite sad.

I kinda think it would be more appropriate for the best man to walk with the matron of honor, since they are both older, and for your daughter to walk with her uncle. I just think it would be a better fit to have the older two people walking together and your daughter with the younger of the two... or as the other poster said to have the girls walk alone and the men up front with the groom.

congrats and welcome! You can have them walk anyway you like. I always prefer the Maid and Honors to walk alone. JMO

I think whatever you want is perfect- it is your wedding. It might be cute if you have your daughter walk down alone. But its all up to you!

Welcome!!- You can do whatever you want. Its your wedding. I am having my MOH walk alone and Have my Jr BM and RB walk together.

Congrats and Welcome!

I also have a maid and a matron of honor, and FH only has one best man. I will have the best man waiting at the altar with FH and my two MOH's are going to walk together. Then for the recessional, the best man will have one MOH on each arm.

my cousin just got married, and all of the groomsmen were already up at the front and the bms walked down one by one

Congrats and Welcome...

Usually the Best Man is standing up front with your FH and the MOH (MOH's) walk alone right before you.

Just a suggestion why not have your Best Man stand with your FI and have your Aunt and your daughter walk hand in hand together. I think it would look really cute.

i think thats a good way to do it, this way your daughter wont feel awkward and i think its very appropriate as well

most weddings i have been to the maid & matrons of honor walk down the aisle by them self & the best man is standing at the alter with your FH. if you don't want to do that then maybe you can have the maid & matron walk down with the best man.

i like what soontobecruz suggested that you could have the men up with FH and then have your AUnt and Daughter walk down together...that would probably make for great pics!

Hey welcome and congratulations. We have the same date; now there are 4 of us with April 24, 2010.

Maybe you can have the guys walk down after FH walks towards the alter and then have the girls walk down by themselves.
